“Gillian Had a witty and vibrant style, and was a natural comedian storyteller”

How to be Jewish Again

Gillian Fischer wants to be Jewish.

Technically she already is.
Somewhere along the line she has forgotten this fact, it has lapsed or it’s been actively avoided.

Her entire life has been lived with little or no recognition of her Jewish identity.

Now a mother in her 40’s she has suddenly recognized an irresistible
compulsion to connect again with her Jewish roots.

That’s all well and good but where does a non Jewish / Jew begin when they want to restart the connection to their heritage.

In this hilarious one woman show writer / broadcaster and actress Gillian Fischer takes us on a journey of self discovery in an attempt to become what she apparently has always been.

Jewish.

An Uncomfortable Moment

#Blacklivesmatter made me want to share a moment in time, those grey area moments that pass us by.

First time writing, producing, editing, everything. This is my voice. This is me bringing my chair to the table #bringthechair

Thank you

Gillian

Reviews

Review 1

“Gillian promised this show would be like having a chat in her living room, and that’s the perfect description. It was deliciously casual, relaxed and witty – like catching up with a distant relative after many years, complete with a bit of dancing. I just wish we’d got a bit further along the graph!”

“You have a fantastic natural quality as well, so that heart really comes through in the messaging without being didactic. Very impressive all around!”
